1309: External Functions in SmartPlant Instrumentation

Description:

Rule-driven design and automation is the only way you can really make a step change in design and engineering within each disciple. The external functions will allow you to make the right decisions early on, thus saving on the time-consuming iterative change process. This capability has two main features – validate, which allows you to create your own rule to check/validate entries in the design; and calculate, which allows you to create a rule to go external to SmartPlant Instrumentation and obtain data, then enter it back into the SmartPlant Instrumentation design. In this session, you will learn how this offers huge value by creating some examples of both of these key features. You will leave the session with some sample code you can use/modify in your office to demonstrate the power of this solution. |

How to Register for Training
Not registered for Intergraph 2010 ?
To register for one of the hands-on paid training courses, simply register for Intergraph 2010. As part of the conference registration process, you will be presented with the option to select the training courses you wish to take.
Already registered for Intergraph 2010?
- Simply log back into the Intergraph 2010 portal. Your login and password will be required.
- Upon successful login, you will see your registration account page. Click on the "Purchase Registration Items" link that appears on the header bar of the "Purchased Items" table. This will take you to the "Conference Registration Options" screen.
- Select the training courses you would like to attend. Click the "Continue" button to make your payment and complete the purchase.
